The SuperPowers of Highly Sensitive People

The SuperPowers of Highly Sensitive People

I’ve been interviewing women from all over the world who are 25-45 years old. I ask them how they feel about being a highly sensitive person and they are hesitant to answer. In particular, the women who see themselves as up and coming leaders hesitate to proclaim their sensitivity, because of the weak connotations it has represented in the past. But, once I share with them the characteristics as superpowers, they shift their negative perspective and share how their sensitivity has lead them lead today. Strong women leaders, who are highly sensitive, don’t relate and don’t want to be associated with being weak, shy, disempowered or over emotional drama queens.

I want to help you embrace your sensitive nature or better understand the sensitive people in your life,
by sharing with you what being highly sensitive empowers.

Being highly sensitive doesn’t suggest weakness or broken and not good enough because you take in more of your environment than the 80% of people around you.

In this week video blog, I share how being an empowered sensitive can be compared to being a fine tuned Lamborghini car and how every business should have at least one empowered highly sensitive employee to insure success.

Highly Sensitives are responsive Beings, and their sensitivities enable them to be our best visionaries, problem solvers, innovators, musicians, writers, singer/song writers, actors, artist, conductors, leaders… because they can sense more than others. Highly sensitives have superpowers and it’s time to embrace them rather than put them down, because they are going to help make this a better world.

Some well know Sensitives: Leonardo Da Vinci, Martin Luther King, Steven Spielberg, Einstein, Carl Jung, Edison, Dalai Lama, Buddha, Gandhi, Frida Kahlo, Georgia O’Keefe, Jewel, Leonard Cohen, Emerson, Virginia Woolf, Woody Allen, Jim Carey, Bob Dylan, Celine Dion, Babyface, Eleanor Roosevelt, Prince Diana…

What highly sensitive people need is:

  1. Self-knowledge, get to know your superpowers and how your react to the world around you.
  2. Reframe your past experiences and traumas with being a highly sensitive and acknowledge your superpowers.
  3. Heal with self-care, love, forgiveness, self-knowledge and inner work (coaching or therapy).
  4. Learn to value and manage your creative mind and energy, so you feel empowered out in the world.
